Premiere of the 1st ICCDA “Ecopolit Summit”at the Press Club Munich

From 19. Nov.2024 to 20. Nov. 2024, the first Ecopolit Summit on the topic of “Romania” took place at the renowned Press Club Munich in Germany.

This event was organized with great success by the ICCDA - the Inter-Consular Council for Diplomatic Affairs.

The topics included the economic opportunities for international companies in and with Romania, the intention to establish a European Anti-Corruption Committee with an affiliated task force against human and drug trafficking, the range of services provided by the intergovernmental organization UnASDG to support countries in achieving sustainable development goals, the tasks of the Inter-Consular Council for Diplomatic Affairs, and ways of financing the tasks and goals.

On November 19, a press conference was held with the Romanian Secretary of State for Sports at the Ministry of Sports, Mr. Constation Obreja, as well as Mr. Aurel Moldovan, Attorney at Law, Justice, and Felicia Akaya, Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event was organized by the ICCDA and the UnASDG, represented by the following members:

• Senator Pat Meyer (Executive President of the UnASDG and President of the ICCDA)

• Honorary Consul Michael Häckel (Secretary General of the ICCDA)

• Honorary Consul Jörn Follmer (Deputy Secretary General of the ICCDA)

• Prof. Dr. Thomas Petschner (UnASDG Scientific R&D/Global Health Specialist and Governor of the Global Economic Commission of ICCDA)

• Waldemar Mazur, UnASDG Ambassador for the Balkan Region

• Slawomir Jaros, UnASDG Special Ambassador for Government Relations

The event was moderated by Honorary Consul Michael Häckel.

This was followed by a presentation of the UnASDG and the ICCDA by President Pat Meyer and Governor of the Global Economic Commission, Professor Dr. Thomas Petschner. In addition, possibilities for cooperation and support for Romania on the part of the UnASDG were discussed.

In the context of a subsequent workshop with leading companies from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, China, Monaco, Albania, Panama, Jamaica, Great Britain, Poland and Slovakia, cooperation possibilities were discussed in numerous one-on-one meetings.
